There must be a rigid scientific reasons behind each and every practice of our ancestors.its been said that one must get up early in the morning and walk to the pond and take bath in it.
It has been an usual practice to take bath in running water (IE river) or in the temple ponds.it had been considered a best practice to walk to the temple and take bath in the temple pond.
lets now take a sneak peak onto why we should walk before we take bath.

To walk for sometime before taking bath was considered a kind of exercise.while doing so it would expose one to fresh and cool air which in turn will result in mind being fresh and peaceful.body gets fresh oxygen rich air.its needless to explain the uses of such pure and fresh air.it also increases the sharpness of mind and also memory power.this has also been proved by our modern technology.
